So, what makes us special?

Here at Giltrees we’ve been practicing our craft of growing Christmas trees since 1965, our main goal is to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible. This is why we will NEVER cut a tree without planting at least one in its place.

A bit more about us…

We grow the majority of our trees in Lancashire, 10 minutes away from our retail site so we can ensure a constant supply of the freshest Christmas trees. Along with our fields we grow Lodgepole Pine trees in our forest in the highlands of Scotland, the rest of the forest is left un-farmed which means wildlife can thrive with deers, rabbits and hares in abundance.

Our team

Giltrees is now a 3rd generation family business which employs people from the local community for seasonal work. We pride ourselves on being able to offer the best quality trees available to our customers whom we treat as part of the Giltrees family, which we unfortunately only get to see once a year!

our beginning

Our journey to where we are now began in 1965 with our grandad Mr Owen C. Giller. He used to have a market stall but business used to slow up around December, which led Owen to trying his hand at selling Christmas trees. Give and take a few years and a couple thousand trees, now all we do is grow Christmas trees!
